Anna and I traveled down to Austin last week for The Cream event, which was mighty fun. There were oodles of stylish people, and these three ladies were no exception. All the way from Philly, this trio works for BHLDN, and were so fun to chat with. And their shoes. Fantastic.

Champagne, fashion, and reality stars, oh my! Last night Anna, Kate and I hopped over to Vapiano in Mockingbird Station for the What to Wear event sponsored by Cynthia Smoot of Oh So Cynthia. There was a fashion show featuring outfits styled by Mockingbird Station retailers and a gamut of fashion bloggers and fabulous people. The event boasted a knowledgeable panel during the fashion show, including Courtney Kerr, Fiona Gorostiza, Sean Charles, and Shannon Yoachum, editor of LOLO Magazine. All in all, it was quite fun and we enjoyed meeting all of you beautiful Dallas people.

We interrupt our regularly scheduled street style posts for a special tribute to Bill Cunningham. This past weekend, I watched Bill Cunningham New York and found myself more inspired by his life and outlook than I have been by anything else in a long while. Have y’all seen the documentary? If you have Netflix, look it up for sure.
If you don’t know, Mr. Cunningham is the photographer for On the Street and Evening Hours for the New York Times, highlighting both fashion forward and high society folk of NYC. But despite his prestige and power, he has not let anything go to his head. He visits charity benefits he finds to be a good cause, not those he feels will have big-ticket attendees. Those he snaps photos of on the street might be wearing a $2 Target accessory, but he doesn’t care. He is a champion for the creative. The original street style photographer, Bill Cunningham has been on trend before he knew what was trendy. I’m telling y’all, he’s a true inspiration and artist. Please watch this film, it’s a thing of beauty.
