Let this be my public service announcement to you all: you can mix prints. Yes. Anyone can do it – don’t be scared. Kristen is the voice behind Neiman Marcus social media, including NMDAILY.com – pretty legitimate gig, huh? With unprecedented access to events, clothing, and goings-on, it’s no surprise Kristen’s outfit was classic and tailored with a current twist.

What I would do to be able to pull off a scarf styled like Brandi has done in this casual, yet eye-catching outfit. Isn’t it fantastic? Brandi was a beacon of light and style in West Village on a recent shopping trip – from her striped Henri Bendel bag to her glittered finger tips – this girl has it going on.

It was lunchtime downtown, and the streets were filled with business professionals scrambling to find a quick lunch and get back to work. There wasn’t a lot to look at as far as fashions go, until we spotted Lou about a block away. How could you miss that pop of color and gorgeous red hair? Her outfit has a wonderful simplicity to it – bold dress, great shoes, go-to bag. All a girl needs.

It was early. And Anna and I needed our morning coffee fix. The Highland Park Village Starbucks is always a great people-watching post, and this morning did not disappoint. In line, we spotted Lauren and were drawn to the simple sophistication of her outfit and effortless hair and make up. Such a fresh face! What I love most about Lauren’s outfit is that a wonderful, basic dress can be styled in many ways – and the way she wrapped that belt around her waist makes for an interesting focal point in her look. And like a true blue Texan woman, I love her “swears by” – teased hair. God bless Texas!

Carlyn is proof. Proof that a bold, red lip can stop you dead in your tracks. Anna and I were walking around the streets of downtown and spotted Carlyn and her red lip from across the street and knew we had to snap her image. Don’t you just love her breezy style and ombre look, as well?

The power of lipstick (indeed)

We struck up a conversation with this group of stylish girlfriends at Union Bear – they were so fun! We loved their colors, prints, and fantastic hair so we couldn’t resist snapping a pic.

Well, it’s about time we have a new post, don’t ya think? Anna and I have both been traveling in Europe for the past month! While Anna is still across the pond, I wanted to get some new posts going. We’ve got some great fashions that we had not posted from April, so we’ll be sharing those, and some new stuff, too!

We met Merritt of The Style Scribe at the Brad Goreski signing and I’m not gonna lie – her outfit was killer. The combination of those shorts with those shoes – so good.

Her morning runs. They’re great for creativity, and to get into all of those clothes she wants to buy. (And not to mention, look fab in those shorts)!

Despite my pleas not to get my picture taken, Anna got me to take a couple of shots of my outfit/accessories a few weeks back. We were having some wine and cheese at Swig, a place we love on Henderson, and I felt just silly enough to take a few.

The Breakdown:

Last week Anna and I participated in an awesome bridal event – The Swoon. While we were busy meeting people in the industry and brides to be, we spotted this cute as can be lady strolling through the booths. The only bummer is that we didn’t get her typical information on her outfit and her name since we were working and schmoozing. But we wanted to share her with you because her look was so good!

Update: We heard from the mystery stylish gal! Her name is Twinkle (fab-u-lous name), here’s her info:

Too good to paraphrase, here’s her direct quote:
“A genuine smile and confidence are two of the best accessories anyone can have in their style arsenal, and they both convey an authenticity that no amount of money can buy.”
